Tour includes transfer from Krakow to Wadowice and back
John Paul II visited three times their hometown. During the first pilgrimage to the homeland, 7 June 1979, met with the faithful on Wadowickim Market. He was also in the courtyard of his family house at ul. Church. Twelve years later – 14 August 1991. Pope consecrated a new church of St. Peter the Apostle, built as a vote of gratitude for the choice of the pope and the salvation of his life after the coup in 1981, third meeting with the Pope’s home town took place 16 June 1999, during prayers at the Place of John Paul II (wadowicki market) Pope crowned the image of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. This meeting also entered the history as an unforgettable conversation with compatriots, wadowickich sentimental memories of youth.
Must visit Ofiarowania PW Pontifical Basilica of Holy Virgin Mary and the family home of John Paul II.
